Reka Clip Copyright Policy
Reka AI, Inc. (“Reka,” “we,” “us”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of Reka Clip and our other services (the “Services”) to do the same. This policy explains what we require of our users, how to report content you believe infringes your copyright, and how to respond if your content is removed.
1. Your responsibilities as a user
You are responsible for the content you submit to the Services, including any video you supply by uploading a file or by providing a link to a third-party service. By submitting content you represent and warrant that you own it or otherwise have all rights, licences, permissions, and consents necessary to use it in the way you are asking us to, and that your use complies with the terms, policies, and community guidelines of any third-party service the content came from.
Do not use the Services to reproduce, adapt, or distribute content you do not have the right to use. We ask you to confirm this each time you import a video from a link.
2. Reporting copyright infringement
If you believe content available through the Services infringes a copyright you own or are authorised to act for, send a written notice to our designated agent with the following information, as required by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or a person authorised to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if the notice covers multiple works.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it — a URL is usually best.
- Your contact details: name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
Designated agent for notice of claimed infringement:
Copyright Agent
Reka AI, Inc.
[STREET ADDRESS]
[CITY, STATE, POSTAL CODE, COUNTRY]
Email: copyright@reka.ai
Please note that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f) you may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees, if you knowingly misrepresent that material is infringing.
3. What we do when we receive a notice
When we receive a notice that complies with the requirements above, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material identified, and we will take reasonable steps to notify the user who submitted it that we have done so.
4. Counter-notification
If you believe your content was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may send our designated agent a counter-notification containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location at which it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, mailing address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notice or their agent.
If we receive a valid counter-notification we may restore the material in accordance with the DMCA.
5. Repeat infringers
We will, in appropriate circumstances, disable or terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. We may also terminate an account at any time for a single instance of infringement where the circumstances warrant it, or where a user’s conduct otherwise breaches our Terms of Service.
6. Third-party services
Where you use the Services in connection with a third-party platform, that platform’s own terms and copyright processes continue to apply to content hosted there. Removing content from the Services does not remove it from a third-party platform, and vice versa. You are responsible for complying with the terms of any third-party service you use with the Services.
